Korsholm III Painted Model Ship
Our Korsholm III model ship is truly one of a kind. It is handcrafted from
beautiful wood such as rosewood, mahogany, teak, and along with various other
exotic wood. The hull is constructed using the plank on frame method, Each strip
of exotic wood is carefully joined together to form a smooth hull.
This model ship is completely handcrafted by skillful and creative master craftsmen.
You will be amazed with its formation and at how real it looks. It is carefully
painted in lustrous original color: red and white. The construction is absolutely
incredible: see-through 3-D of the two stories rear deck, countless windows
on the two decks, wooden navigation towers, wooden canoes, wooden benches, metal
fences around the deck, painted windows, "Korsholm III"; imprinted
in black on both side of the ship, and along with many more exclusive ornaments.
This beautiful model ship comes standard with an attached wooden stand with
a nameplate engraved "Korsholm III".
Our cruise ship model was built according to scale through original plans, pictures
and drawings.
We absolutely use no plastic parts, only the highest quality wood and metal.
Our Korsholm III model boat is shipped fully-assembled and ready to be displayed.
Korsholm III was a kind of the first Passenger and car ferries between Vasa,
Finland and Umea, Sweden. She had been in regular traffic in the 50ies and 60ies
before it was sold to the Finnish Navy as their flag ship. Today she is a tourist
boat in the Stockholm archipelagia in Sweden and is somewhat modified.
