Endeavor Yacht
Endeavor was the United Kingdom America’s Cup challenger the year of
her launch in 1934. Known as the most wonderfully beautiful J-Class yacht ever
built at the time, she was famous for her lightening speed as well a her beauty.
She came closer to winning the race than any other challenger up to that time,
with only an amateur crew sailing her to the finish line. Endeavor continued
be a ting factor in the British racing seen upon her return to England.
In 1938 she was laid up for the duration of World War II, retiring from her
exceptional racing career of four years.
Having had a complete makeover and refit at Little Harbor Marine in Portsmouth,
Rhode Island, the Endeavor is in the best shape of her long and exciting yachting
life. She now sports a newly painted cabin interior and new electronics and
generators.
New steel plating for her hull has been faired and repainted giving her a new
look and incredible strength. Her deck has had parts replaced and repaired with
new beautiful teak bringing her rous beauty to a new level.
