TSS Earnslaw Model Steamship
Our Earnslaw model boat is painted in solid red and white color. The detail
that has been put into this ship is amazing; tall wooden towers connected to
each other by rigging, hand built wooden benches, rope crane, see through 3-D
upper and lower deck, metal and wooden fences on top deck, lower deck surrounded
with wooden fences, windows crafted to see-through, single propeller, and many
more exclusive ornaments. This beautiful model boat is rested on a painted wooden
stand with two firm crafted wooden poles sustaining it. To enhance its value
and recognition, a golden metal plate embedded with “Earnslaw” is
neatly mounted to the stand. This wooden model ship is completely hand crafted
by skillful master craftsmen. Months of research goes into the planning of each
of these model boats. Original plans and pictures are used for their design
and realism. This wooden model boat is shipped fully-assembled and ready to
be displayed.
Relive the elegance of bygone days with a cruise aboard the vintage steamship
TSS Earnslaw, one of the last remaining coal fired, passenger carrying vessels
operating in the southern hemisphere. Affectionately known as the “Lady
of the Lake”, the TSS Earnslaw has a special place in the hearts of Queenstown
people. She has been transporting goods to remote settlements and conveying
passengers on beautiful Lake Wakatipu since 1912.
